A new high-tech fraud called 'Sim Swap' has been introduced in the city and hundreds of people have already fallen victim to it.
How does it work?
1. Your phone network will be blinded moment by moment, zero (nine signals / zero) and a call will come shortly after.
2. Someone on the other end of the call will tell you that he is talking to your network (your cell phone company) and there is a problem with your mobile network.
3. Then he will instruct you:
Please press 1 on your phone keypad to get the network back.
Please do not press any key on your mobile keypad at this time, just cut the call off your phone
If you press 1 the network will suddenly appear white screen and hacked
He will go blind immediately
Then zero bar and this process will hack your phone.
Within a second they will empty your bank account and you will not receive any alerts.
You will have the experience that apparently your line is without network but in the meantime, your SIM has been swiped.
The danger is that:
You will not receive any transaction alerts. So please those of us who are doing USSD banking and mobile banking be very careful.

شہر میں "سِم سویپ" کے نام سے ایک نیا ہائی ٹیک اسکینڈل شروع ہوا اور سینکڑوں لوگ مارے گئے۔
یہ کیسے کام کرتا ہے؟
1. آپ کا فون نیٹ ورک ہمیشہ اچھا ہوتا ہے، صفر (نو ٹونز/زیرو) اور فوراً کال کریں۔
2. کال کے دوسرے سرے پر کوئی آپ کو بتاتا ہے کہ وہ آپ کے نیٹ ورک (آپ کی موبائل کمپنی) سے بات کر رہا ہے اور آپ کے موبائل نیٹ ورک میں کوئی مسئلہ ہے۔
پھر یہ آپ کو سکھائے گا:
نیٹ ورک کو بحال کرنے کے لیے اپنے فون پر 1 دبائیں۔
- کچھ بھی نہ رگڑیں، صرف لٹکا دیں یا لٹکا دیں۔
جب آپ 1 پر کلک کریں گے تو نیٹ ورک اچانک ظاہر ہو گا یا کھل جائے گا۔
جلد ہی چلے جائیں گے
اور یہ آپ کے فون کو سست کردے گا۔
وہ سیکنڈوں میں آپ کا بینک اکاؤنٹ حذف کر دیں گے اور آپ کو کوئی وارننگ نہیں ملے گی۔
آپ جانتے ہیں کہ آپ کے نیٹ ورک میں کوئی نیٹ ورک نہیں ہے، لیکن آپ کا سم کارڈ کافی عرصے سے مٹا ہوا ہے۔
ایک خطرہ ہے:
